Safely and securely capture user credit card data on your Magento site to enable subscription-based payments.

With this module, Magento merchants who offer Authorize.Net as a payment gateway will allow their customers to create customer accounts within Magento to facilitate faster checkout and payment processing. The Authorize.Net CIM extension is a custom ecommerce payment solution to allow for stored billing data within the payment gateway rather than within the Magento platform.

The customer’s raw billing data (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.) will be stored safely and securely within Authorize.Net. Only a “token” that associates with the customer’s information will be stored in Magento’s database - no raw or sensitive data will be stored in Magento’s database.

For example, a customer’s credit card number 1111-2222-3333 is stored in Authorize.Net’s database and the associating Token ID ABC123C56CDE7 is stored in Magento. When a transaction occurs, Magento will pass on the Token ID to Authorize.Net – no sensitive or raw data will be sent. The transfer of funds will occur in Authorize.Net.

This module is beneficial for stores that have subscription based products or frequent return customers to improve their checkout time.

Recent enhancements include partial revenue capture and the ability for guest users to save credit card information

This module is available for Magento Enterprise Edition 1.9.x, 1.10.x, 1.11.x, 1.12x, Magento Community Edition 1.7,

and requires Authorize.net payment gateway account.
