    <description>&lt;P&gt;You can use CIM to save their CC information and auth_only on the date of rental.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Not sure about authorization for the full amount of the items, if it is a lot of $, you might be hitting their credit limit. And they probably have to spell it out on the contract.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Using Authorize.net for rental website</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;We developed a product rental website which allows customers to rent an item online and have it delivered to them and then picked up on a certain date. We use Authorize.net to capture all the money from the rental order. However, we only captured the rental and optional accessories amount. My client is saying they need to do an authorization for the full amount of the items should they be lost or broken. I know we can do Auth Only transactions, but those only last 30 days. It is sometimes the case someone will make a reservation more than 30 days before their rental period - how would we handle this?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
