So, by sending a link to the "Card Present Integration" doc, what you're saying is that what I want to do (ie. server-side batch processing of transactions) is not possible for Signature Debit Cards.

Debit cards details can not be stored for later usage, as Credit Card or eCheck details can, is this right?

Is there any API support for issuing batch Signature Debit Cards transactions?

I've started working with CIM but then realized that Signature Debit Card is not a supported payment method. Should I switch to another API?

Thanks for any insight.

David

There is no batch processing for Card Present transaction, is one transaction at a time on AIM.

There is one for Card Not Present on the merchant account - Tools - Upload Transactions.

Debit cards details can not be stored for later usage, as Credit Card or eCheck details can, is this right?

Not sure since I don't do batch processing. It probably a PCI compliance question.

Signature Debit is actually just another name for processing debit cards as credit. Within the Authorize.Net system, there is no distinction between a "Signature Debit" transaction and any other regular credit card transaction. As Raynor indicated, there is no batch processing for Card Present accounts. If you are processing transactions in a stored batch file then the cards are, by definition, not present. It is also not possible to do any batch processing of card track data, it is not allowed under PCI guidelines to store the full track data from a card.
