Hi jackbond ,

You mentioned that you are not sending the credit card number and expiration date but that should not cause the downgrade. In some cases your transactions can be downgraded by your Merchant Service Provider (MSP) for various reasons. I suggest that you contact your MSP about this because it is possible that the card type can also be a factor but this is something your MSP can verify.

Thanks,
Joy

The documentation states that if the track data is incorrectly formatted than an error will be raised. Is there a scenario where the x_track1 is not properly formatted but the transaction will complete (but in a downgraded state?) I am URL encoding the track data (which I believe is correct based on another thread here.) Further I am providing neither x_card_num nor x_exp_date fields to guarantee it isn't somehow failing back to those. One last piece of info, the credit card I am using for my production tests is a gift gard (don't know if that makes a difference.) Thanks for any help.
