Accessing Merchant Defined Fields through Reporting Gateway API

Does anyone know if there is a way to access Merchant Defined Fields through the Reporting Gateway API? Would like to pass custom field values (department, etc) and have those available through the reporting interface.

Any help would be most appreciated.

It not save in authorize.net, it just a way for you to pass info from the CC entry form to the relay response page.

Thanks for the quick reply. I think we've decided to embed pipe deliminted information into the Invoice number as we are not using that field for anything else.

Just make sure you don't go over the 20 max chars limit.

Yup. Just found that out. Shouldn't be a problem as our codes will be short.
