AUTH_ONLY custom expiry date

Hi all,

I am a forum newbie, and I did search for my question. So apologies if this has been asked before.

Reading about the Authorize and capture process for placing a hold on a credit card, my understanding is that when you use AUTH_ONLY to place a hold on a card, the hold is placed for 30 days.

Is there a way that the developer can set a custom expiration date, within the 30 day limit? Can I set the expiration to happen, say, a week from when the AUTH_ONLY call is made?

No. you will need to use the "void" transaction when you want it to expire.
