    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As per CIM documentation, special characters are not allowed in First Name, Last Name, Postcode fields during registration of CC.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However, these characters are accepted while creating customer on authorize.net&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can you please advice what are the symbols that are accepted/restrained in APIs?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Special Characters used while creating the account are: !, @, $, #, %, ^&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Customer Profile ID: 28418661&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Description: 1_191308&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks &amp;amp; Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sarang&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Hi Netizen,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We are currently working to fully support UTF8 but please note that we have not yet updated every component in our system so you may still see some unexpected behavior using characters outside of the ISO-8859-1 character set.&amp;nbsp;You may want to check&amp;nbsp;this previous &lt;A href="https://community.developer.cybersource.com/t5/Integration-and-Testing/AIM-in-C-Encoding-International-Characters-Symbols/m-p/25069/highlight/true#M13393" target="_blank"&gt;post&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;
