As it is well known, every customer profile allows for one or more shipping addresses to be created and added to the profile. Can someone explain in which context are these addresses used? Does Authorize.Net mails a monthly report with all transactions to one (the primary) shipping address?

We are developing a system that will process payments through Authorize.Net, using the CIM API. We will create customer profiles and payment profiles and will maintain their ids in our database so that we can issue payments for our clients. I am not very clear on how can the shipping address be used and I try to understand whether we should bother creating them or not. Can someone describe a few scenarios in which shipping addresses are used?

Thanks in advance,

Eddie

Hello @EddieLascu88CNP

Probably the easiest example of shipping addresses is a floral shop. Storing multiple shipping addresses would allow the customer to quickly select from a list of previously used addresses to send flowers.
