Is not sending CCV number reason for transaction decline?

Hi All,

We have integrated Authorize.net AIM for Java project. Currently we are sending Card Holder’s name, Card number and Expiration date to authorize and it is working fine. but some transactions decline and some transactions are approved with same detail. Currently We are not sending CVV number so we are planning to send CVV number.

Now Question is: Will sending CVV number cause any negative impact like increased number of decline transactions or something else?

Any Idea would be helpful.

Hello @dpatel

Credit card transactions may be declined for a number of reasons. Using fraud prevention tools like including a CVV with each transaction helps merchants protect themselves from potentially fraudulent transactions.
