I have been reading about the movment of EVM and it really looks like EVM will be the thing in the next few years. With that being said, does anyone know if Authorize.net is moving in that direction?

Being a developer, I am currently in the middle of software that depends on credit card processing, but if the current method is going to be obsolete in a few years, then it is pointless to build it right now.

Anyone hear any news about EVM?

You mean EMV chip? It doesn't take more a few days(hrs) to developed credit card processing. And website still use the credit card# to process. Not sure why you think it pointless.
