Hi,

When processing an eCheck transaction you are required to pass the bank account number and the ABA routing number. The ABA is the unique code present on a check assigned by the American Bankers Association (ABA) that identifies a particular bank or finance institution issuing the check. This code is primarily used by US-based financial institutions this is why our eCheck service only supports US banks.

For details about ODFI and RDFI please refer to the eCheck.Net Opertating Procedures and User Guide: http://www.authorize.net/content/dam/authorize/documents/echecknetuserguide.pdf

Thanks,

Actually I've implemented the eCheck functionality.

Now I need to know is it works for US banks only or it works for all banks in world.

Or how can I identify that eCheck will work for which bank? (Merchant should have a bank in US or could have outside the US).

And beside this I've some quires

1) What is Receiving Depository Financial Institution (RDFI)?

2) What is Originating Depository Financial Institution (ODFI)?

-Thanks

Ashlekh Gera
