We don't have any tools for mass profile deletion. Instead, you will need to iterate through your list of existing customer profiles.

clear out all the CIM data?

We recently overhauled our WordPress - WooCommerce website from a dev site. Then some of our existing customers started getting E00039 - "a duplicate record already exists" when trying to put in their credit card purchases.

This may have been caused by some nuances in the data format or transfer from the old site to the new site. So the simplest solution might be to clear out all the existing data and start fresh (unless our developer can do some quick figuring and tweaking.)

We did something like this once before about a year ago, when authorize.net was fixing or improving their duplicate handling. I remember that we cleared out all the customers from before a certain date, here we would likely clear all of them (offhand, just the credit card info? or delete them entirely? Not sure which applies here.)

Some questions.

================

QUESTIONS

Is this the best (cleanest) idea?
We don't mind so much that customers have to reenter some data. This is far less important than their being frustrated with duplicate errors.

Is there a "best way" to do this?

Is there a tool to do it en masse (few hundred) or does it have to be done one by one?

================

Any help appreciated!

Steven Spencer
