      <title>Detecting failed subscription payments</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My understanding is that if this is the first subscription payment, or the first payment since the subscription was last updated, and it fails, then I will receive the&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;net.authorize.customer.subscription.suspended notification.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;But what if its not the first payment, or first since update? &amp;nbsp;What if month 1 goes through but month 2 fails (happens all the time!). &amp;nbsp;Is it correct that the ONLY way to detect this is via email or silent post?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;How should this be handled?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
