Split payments between two credit cards

Hi,

We have a requirement where we need to split payments between two different credit cards i.e. if a user can pay with multiple credit cards(2 in our case) for a single order.

So if a customer has an order of $1000, he should have an option of paying that amount with two credit cards i.e. $300 from one credit card and $700 from another credit card, or however he wants to split according to his choice.

Can someone please provide important links or implementation ideas which can suffice this requirement?

This would be acheived by sending two separate transactions. There isn't a mechanism for charging two cards with a single request.
