Adding a description to a refund using Java SDK

Is it possible to add a description to a Refund Transaction?

I notice when I try add a line item, i get an XML validation for that request. Removing the line item type from the transaction request fixes it, but the refund in the Authorize console isn't very useful.

The documentation is not comprehensive with respect to refunds (or voids for that matter). Any guidance on how to add some basic descriptive text would be helpful
