Best way to implement repository pattern?

Hi I'm trying to create a web api in .Net Core that I want to consume in React. I've read a ton of guides but they all seem to differ in how they implement it and I feel like they might be over complicating things. So I'm wondering if you have any advice and hopefully also a guide to follow.

Tell me please what functional do you want to have?
Is it realted to web api interface. I have created a web pages here, where customer has an interaction with different functional.
