I'm going through The Odin Project and I have looked around on Google as well and it says that Linux and MacOS is preferred over windows for web development. Why is this so?

According to the StackOverflow developer survey, slightly more than half of all developers use Linux or MacOS, but at least front end web development technologies seem to be clustered more around Windows. If you can't stand the thought of learning Linux, there are definitely jobs out there to suit you.
