I’ve had a Mac for forever. I just started coding (super newbie) 3 months ago. I am making a website currently and I am using MySQL for my database.

I just recently was given a really nice computer that has Windows 10 on it. I thought that I could just transfer my database from my Mac to my windows but nothing worked. No biggie- it’s not a super huge database. My issue is that anytime I install MySQL workbench 8.0.30 and MySQL server it shows that there isn’t a server connected. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but nothing has worked.

I wish I could tell you everything I have tried to make it more helpful but at this point I have tried so many things and nothing has worked. I don’t know much about windows 10 so hopefully it’s an easy fix. I would love some advice/help if possible! TIA!
