One of the new features of the Developer Center is a new test account application process. The old process involved applying and waiting for your account. You would be issued either a shared account or a dedicated account, which required activation on your part.

Now, when you apply for a test account at https://developer.authorize.net/testaccount, all you need to do is enter your name and email address, select a login ID and password, agree to the terms of service and click Sign Up. Your account will be set up and activated immediately and your API Login ID and Transaction Key will be displayed on the next page. Be sure to record this information as you'll need it to begin testing. All test accounts will now be dedicated test accounts as well. We will no longer be issuing shared test accounts.

We hope this process makes testing easier for you all.

Thanks,
