    <description>&lt;P&gt;If the Response Encryption Key ID and Response Decryption Private Key fields are disabled even after updating the Configuration settings, it is likely that one of the following applies:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Message Level Encryption (MLE) has not been fully enabled for your merchant/profile.&lt;BR /&gt;The required encryption certificates or key pairs have not been uploaded or activated.&lt;BR /&gt;Your user role lacks the permissions needed to modify MLE settings.&lt;BR /&gt;The environment (test vs. production) has restrictions that require configuration by the Smartpay Fuse support team.&lt;BR /&gt;A few things to verify:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Confirm that the response encryption certificate and corresponding private key have been successfully uploaded.&lt;BR /&gt;Check whether MLE is enabled at the account or organization level.&lt;BR /&gt;Verify that you are using an account with administrative privileges.&lt;BR /&gt;Try refreshing or reopening the configuration page after saving any certificate changes.&lt;BR /&gt;If all of the above are already in place, I would recommend opening a support ticket with Smartpay Fuse and providing:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Your merchant/account ID.&lt;BR /&gt;Environment (test or production).&lt;BR /&gt;Screenshots showing the disabled fields.&lt;BR /&gt;Confirmation that the certificates and keys have been configured.&lt;BR /&gt;The fact that the fields remain disabled suggests this may be an account-level configuration issue rather than a problem with the API endpoint itself.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
