Integrate WooCommerce with Cybersource and 3D Secure

Hi,

I have been recently asked to integrate a website with Cybersource payment gateway. The website deals with online booking so I installed WooCommerce and used a plug-in to integrate Woo with Cybersource. I did test transactions and everything was A-Ok. However, now I am told that the website should have 3D secure (Payer authentication) on the checkout page. I have checked current plugin and other available plugins but none of them offers 3DS.

Is there any way to get Woo, Cybersource and 3DS work together?

Hi Brian,

Thank you for reaching out, such a plugin does indeed exist and has been built by one of our development partners SkyVerge (CyberSource Payment Gateway - WooCommerce).  There is an annual support fee attached to this integration which will provide direct support from SkyVerge.

The only configuration required for enabling 3D-Secure is that you have been boarded to 3D-Secure through our support teams and your credentials are stored within the EBC (the integration will pick these up on your behalf during processing) and finally enabling the check box in the WooCommerce configuration screen.

During testing to our CAS environment you will be need to send in specific card numbers to trigger the required test cards and scenarios are documented in the "Testing Payer Authentication" section of the following guide Payer Authentication Developer Guide | Simple Order API (cybersource.com)

This integration as well as supporting 3D-Secure supports a number of additional features:

• Tokenization
• Decision Manager (Fraud Management)
• Apple/Google Pay
• Visa Click To Pay
• eCheck ACH

With the tokenization functionality it also supports WooCommerce native functionality for Subscriptions and pre-orders.

Hi Brian,

I believe there are a number of integrations out there that will link your Stripe Terminal to your WooCommerce Store in order to have a single management portal for orders.  I do not believe these transactions would touch Cybersource as they would be going through Stripe as the terminal provider therefore they would have their own processing route.

If you had any additional details in regards to the problem you're looking to solve please let me know and I will see if we're aware of an existing solution.

Hello,

WooCommerce Payments supports 3D Secure, requiring an additional verification step for payments. 3D Secure is supported through both your store checkout and the Pay for Order page.
