Many New Supported Countries
Since our recent expansion into the European market, Authorize.Net now supports payments in 33 European Countries. Authorize.Net provides you with a payment gateway account and can assist in establishing an e-commerce merchant account through one of our acquiring partners.

Supported Acquirers and Currencies
Currently, Authorize.Net processes transactions in Europe with six major acquirers in four currencies: GBP, EURO, USD and AUD. One gateway account is required for each currency, however merchants can accept Visa, MasterCard or JCB cards from customers worldwide. The customer’s card will be charged in the currency of the gateway account, and the merchant account will then handle any currency conversions.
Additional Required Fields
In order to accept payments through our new processor connections in Europe, some of the existing, optional fields are now required with each transaction. Please review the following list of additional required fields for processing GBP, EUR, USD or AUD payments through a European gateway account:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Address
- City
- State*
- Zip
- Country
The API guides that these changes apply to have been updated accordingly.
*This field is optional if the billing address is not in the U.S. or Canada. If the address is in the U.S. or Canada, the two-digit State/Province code must be provided.
