Hey there,
for my website I'd like to extract the database to a new separate remote server. The database contains sensitive user data. Now the way I set it up for my test now I do not have ssl encryption. But I only allow connections from my main server IP that serves the website files via nginx. If my database server only allows connections from my main server do I still need to worry about encryption here?
Is there something else I should be aware of? So far I was running all my services on one server.Thanks!
