What are the best setup tips for installing MySQL CE on a laptop with Windows 10?
Two business partners are separating, and I was tasked with opening a backup of their CRM to extract certain records to Excel.
I’m okay with writing queries, but have had nothing but headaches trying to get MySQL Workbench installed and keep the server running, and re running the install to modify settings and have a root password and then WIN32 errors when trying to open the backup, etc.
Is this normal? Is there a step that you pros do that I’m missing?
I’m not planning to use MySQL long term. Just for this small project.
