SSL Certificate Update to DigiCert for SFRA CyberSource Integration

Hello everyone,
I’m currently exploring the process of updating our SSL certificates to DigiCert for secure communication with CyberSource. Could anyone guide me on the steps involved in this transition? Also, are there specific tests I should run in the CAS/TEST environment before moving to production?
Additionally, is this update mandatory for SFRA sites using CyberSource, or can the current setup be maintained? What factors should I consider to ensure a smooth transition?
Thank you in advance for your help!

To update your SSL certificates to DigiCert for secure communication with CyberSource, follow these general steps:

  1. Purchase and Install the DigiCert SSL certificate on your server.
  2. Update the certificate in your web server configuration (Apache, Nginx, etc.).
  3. Configure CyberSource to use the new certificate, if necessary.
  4. Test the SSL certificate in your CAS/TEST environment to ensure it’s working properly before moving to production.
    • Run tests like SSL Labs SSL Test to check the validity.
    • Test transactions through CyberSource in the test environment to ensure no disruptions.

As for SFRA sites using CyberSource, the update might be mandatory depending on your current certificate provider’s support and CyberSource's requirements. It's best to check with CyberSource support for specific guidelines.

Consider the following for a smooth transition:

  • Ensure backups of your current certificate and configurations.
  • Verify the expiration dates and renewal process for DigiCert.
  • Communicate with your team to minimize disruptions during the update process.
