Submitting hosted payment page giving error 550. I am using my account in TEST mode, and set API to LIVE mode

This issue self resolved. I am suspecting that is was a networking issue somewhere. We did have another development team within our organization (different product) report the exact same behavior at the time we were experiencing this issue.

I ran into this same issue using the Hosted Payment page, accessing my sandbox account. As long as it is in Test mode, the payment form will not complete the submission. The https://test.authorize.net/Payment/Api.ashx endpoint called by the form will return http status 550 after about 1.5-2 minutes.

I'm also facing same issue, when i click to pay it take too much time to process and sometime it work successfully, and most of the time it throws the 550 error.
