I’m working on adding a paid feature to my decision-making website, Decidal . The idea is to let users try the spin wheel three times for free, then require payment for additional spins.
I’m considering Cybersource for handling the payments and would like advice on the best way to structure the integration.
Specifically, should the three-free-spin limit be tracked on my own server, and then should Cybersource only handle the payment once the user reaches the limit? I’d also like to understand the recommended approach for handling failed payments, duplicate requests, refunds, and payment confirmation through webhooks.
If anyone has implemented a similar usage-based payment flow with Cybersource, I’d appreciate any guidance on the API structure and best practices.
