I’m working on a payment integration for a client that manufactures large-scale portable offices and modular cabins (you can see the product scale here: https://portaking.pk/).
Because these units are expensive and often custom-built, we don't charge the full amount upfront. I’m looking for the best Cybersource REST API workflow to handle the following:
Tokenization for Milestones: Is it possible to tokenize a customer's card during the initial deposit and then programmatically trigger subsequent "milestone" payments as the construction of the unit progresses?
Secure Acceptance: For B2B clients who prefer not to use a standard checkout page, can we generate a "Pay-by-Link" via the API that includes the specific Project ID or Cabin Serial Number in the metadata?
Risk Management: Since these are high-value transactions, are there specific "Decision Manager" settings recommended for the construction/manufacturing sector to reduce the risk of chargebacks after delivery?
I want to ensure our integration is robust enough for these types of industrial sales. Any advice on the best API endpoints for this "deposit-first" model would be very helpful.
