I am currently integrating Cybersource's payment gateway API into our e-commerce platform, but I've encountered an issue where the payment response from the gateway is delayed, sometimes up to 15 seconds. This delay is affecting the user experience, as the payment page takes too long to load after a user completes the transaction.
I have followed the integration guidelines provided in the Cybersource documentation, including the proper setup for tokenization and transaction processing. My setup includes using REST APIs and Java SDK for payment processing. Despite testing the system in a sandbox environment with various transaction types, the response time continues to fluctuate.
Could anyone suggest troubleshooting steps or best practices to optimize response times? Any help?
