Capturing Text Notes or Comments

We want to capture comment-like information associated with a donation transaction.  Comments would indicate the type of designation for the gift.

1. Are there comment or other text fields within the transaction record where this information could go?

2. What does the mapping code from our web form to the gateway look like?

3. Ideally, we'd like the comments to be included in the confirmation emails that go to the giver and back to the non-profit.  Is that possible?

Hi,

You can use the description field (x_description) but this is limited to 255 characters. Any data passed in this field is included in the email receipts. If you want more room than we allow in the description field, Im afraid we do not have any solution for you.
