How to inject encryption key into integrated card reader.

We are setting up an authorize.net integration that will be accessed from a kiosk with an built-in card reader. The kiosk manufacturer is requesting the information to inject the integrated card reader with the authorize.net encryption key. This is the card reader that is integrated into the kiosk:

What information does the kiosk manufacturer need to complete this?

Hello @paulE

We are working with several vendors to add support for Authorize.Net to their encrypted readers, however I don't yet have any details on the specific device you mention in your post.  I've passed your request on to the business development team working with our hardware partners.

I'd recommend subscribing to this topic so that you'll be alerted via email if there are updates. To subscribe, click Topic Options at the top of this thread and then select Subscribe. You'll then receive an email once anyone replies to your post.

Thanks,

Richard

Thanks @RichardH. What are some of the devices you know of? Maybe we could use a different one.

Hello Paul,

The readers available today are for mobile devices using an audio jack.  You can see a list at http://www.authorize.net/mobile.  When new readers are added, we'll post information here in the community.

Hello,

I see that it has been just over a year since this question was first asked.  Are there any encrypted card reader options available for kiosks yet?
