Is the authorization on a debit card valid for a different length of time?
Authorize.Net's documentation says an auth is good for 30 days. If the customer uses a debit card as a credit card (not using PIN) through Authorize.Net, is the auth also good for 30 days?
I have read somewhere else that debit card auths are only good for 5 days.
Thanks.

Hi,
There isn't a single timeframe for which Authorizations remain valid. When you run an Authorization through our system, we allow you to capture it up to 30 days later, but the exact process at the bank often varies from what you see in your Authorize.Net account. If there is a delay of more then 3-4 days between the Authorization and Capture requests, it is common for the consumer to see the the amount placed on hold in their account, see that hold released 2-3 days later, then finally see the amount actually withdrawn from their account at the time of capture.
Thanks,
Joy
