We have a software product that Authorize.net customers use to process payments from their clients. They use their API ID and Transaction Key to do so.
A few of our customers have had issues with the dreaded Error 103 "This transaction cannot be accepted" because of invalid API credentials.
To avoid this in the future, I'd like to perform some type of sanity check when they enter the credentials, so we can verify if they work or not. I've scoured the API, but I don't see any way of doing this, besides perhaps performing a fake auth on a ficticious credit card.
My question then — Is there a method or advised way to sanity check API credentials?

Either the AuthenticateTest or a x_test_request=true
