TLS 1.2 Migration

Hello!

I received an email about "Important TLS Disablement Notice".

We are using Authorize.Net in our legacy application.
It is based on the .Net Framework 2.0.
Application is hosted on the Windows Server 2008 SP2.

So we'll not be able to use Authorize after September 18 if nothing changed?
What updates should be done from our side to make the application work with Authorize?

Thank you!

Hello @nu

Microsoft stopped supporting .NET 2.0 in April 2016. This means that using .NET 2.0 in a payment processing application, is a potential violation of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.

We strongly urge you to upgrade your application to use .NET 4.6.1+, which is currently supported by Microsoft, and for which we can provide SDKs to help your development.

I am getting an error when using our credit card payment, is this related to the TLS 1.2 update?

Hi @WWWequip,

Can you please give us more details about the error you are getting?

This will help in determining if it is related to TLS.

Thanks,

Naman
