Transaction error, response 2 reason 38

Hello,

I'm implementing SIM in PHP, and I just took the gateway out of test mode to try for a $0.01 transaction using a real credit card, and I receive the following error:

The Global Payment System identification numbers are incorrect. Call Merchant Service Provider.

I couldn't find any information on the net regarding the potential cause of this error, nor does a board search come up with any prior threads. Can anyone provide some insight on how to proceed?

Hi rawsted,

This means that the merchant probably wasn't set up correctly at the processor, in this case Global Payments. You'll need to contact your MSP, which is the institution where you got your merchant account from. Explain the error to them and they should be able to figure out what wasn't set up properly.
