Sandbox Developer Account Activation Link Returns Internal Server Error Post

Hi everyone,

I tried registering for a CyberSource developer test account using the sandbox signup page. I received the activation email, but when I click the activation link, it returns the following error:

{"response":{"rmsg":"Internal server Error"}}

Ive already tried opening the link in a private browser session and on a different browser, but the issue persists.

Has anyone else experienced this recently? Is there a known issue with sandbox account activation links, or is there a recommended way to get the activation token reissued?

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

If the CyberSource sandbox activation link returns an Internal Server Error, try these steps: request a new activation email from the sandbox signup page, use a private/incognito browser session, clear cache and cookies, or try a different browser or network. If the problem persists, contact CyberSource developer support to have the activation token reissued. This is a known occasional issue with sandbox accounts.

I’ve seen this happen before. It’s usually an expired or corrupted activation token on the sandbox side, not a browser issue. Request a fresh activation email from the signup page, and if the link still throws a 500 error, open a ticket with CyberSource developer support and ask them to reissue the activation link. That typically resolves it quickly.
