I have an issue with the transaction response from authorize.net. I am using a third party product and I found out the error occurs because the x_cust_id field in the payment gateway response is too short to handle the customer IDs I use on my site. Anyway to increase the length of this field?

The Customer ID has a set length defined by our API that cannot be changed. The limit on this field is 20 characters.
