Add new payment profile for existing customer profile?

I see that I can use createTransactionRequest in the AIM XML API to create a new customer profile and payment profile at the same time that a credit card transaction is done, and I can then also use createTransactionRequest to perform a credit card transaction with an existing customer profile and payment profile.

Is it possible to also use createTransactionRequest with an existing customer profile but a new credit card number, and have a new payment profile created? Or does that require an extra step?

This is currently not possible but this is under active review. I suggest that you post this under our Ideas page for a feature request, our internal developers review all posts and requests in this page regularly.
