Pre-authorization charge in payment method

I had a question regarding the ARB (Automated Recurring Billing) process for Auth.net.  When we set this up do we manually need to pre-authorize the card?  Or does the setting up of the ARB automatically pre-authorize the card?

Yes, you could either run an AIM auth_only transaction for $.01 (remember to void it)

or you could use AIM for the first recurring billing and set the ARB to start the 2 recurring.
