Refund a Transaction with greater amount
Hi,
i'll be having a business scenario where i need refund a amount greater than the amount debited in actual transaction. But i tried and came to know that the amount should be lesser than or equal to the amount debited in that transaction.
Scenario: Transaction (T1 - amount 300$) with Customer Profile(C1). I need to refund 400$ to this Customer Profile, which is greater than amount(300$) debited in transaction(T1) . But i have only one transaction(T1) in this customer Profile(C1).
Is this possible? Kindly Help me with this.
Thanks,
Suresh Babu R

Hello @sureshrb3
This is possible with your production account, but you must first apply for Expanded Credit-Return Capabilities (ECC). https://www.authorize.net/content/dam/authorize/documents/ecc.pdf

The process for refunds is the same with ECC.
