Unable to process refund for some settled transactions

Hi,
I am working on an E-commerce project. I have an error while refunding the settled transaction

Error: "The sum of credits against the referenced transaction would exceed original debt amount."

I have given the exact amount that has debited for the referenced transaction for refund. I have also tried by giving a lesser amount than the original debt amount. Still, I getting this error.

Also, this error is only for some random transactions.

Does anyone have any idea about this?
