Over the last week or so I have begun developing a transaction reporting system for a digital accounting system, and have noticed some oddities or gaps in the webhooks regarding ARB transactions that get declined.
At first, and after reviewing a few topics on this forum, I just enabled the "
net.authorize.payment.authcapture.created" webhook to receive event data, but that only appears to return successful/approved transaction event responses (for both ARBs and new transactions). I then added the "net.authorize.customer.subscription.suspended" webhook into my application, and now I am receiving event data for my ARBs that are declined and are moved into "suspended" status. However, I still have zero visibility on either webhook regarding regular ARB transactions that fail or go into "under review" status; is there another webhook I need to be consuming in order to see these as well? The primary purpose of the accounting app behind this is to fully automate the transaction reporting so that my client doesn't have to copy/paste transaction or subscription Id's out of email receipts into a web form tied to Authorize.net's API, so any information on how to achieve the above would be really helpful!

I just spent most of the day migrating from SIlent Post to Webhooks then come across this. The only reason I use these is for ARB success/failed payment notifications. It's seriously time for me to migrate away from Authnet. So many hoops to jump through.
ARB Failed Payment notifications has recently been added to the available notification options. The API documentation for webhooks is still pending an update of this recent change.
Please proceed to enable the Subscription Event 'net.authorize.customer.subscription.failed' should you wish to received ARB failed payment notifications.

Ok, so use net.authorize.payment.authcapture.created for ARB successes, and use GetTransactionDetails to get the subscription.
And use net.authorize.customer.subscription.failed to failed ARB payments?
Why not have a net.authorize.customer.subscription.approved (or something) to catch that, then ARB is fully covered which is all we're all seemingly trying to get to anyways.
I can confirm that net.authorize.payment.fraud.declined does not fire for ARB declines in production.
net.authorize.payment.fraud.declined will fire only if the ARB payment has failed due to the Fraud Detection Suite settings. These settings are applied to the first ARB transaction after a subscription is created or the first ARB transaction after a subscription's payment information is edited.
net.authorize.payment.fraud.declined will not fire for every failed ARB transaction. It only fires if it fails due to the Fraud Detection Suite configuration. Unrelated failures/declines like the card issuer declining the authorization or a processor error will trigger net.authorize.customer.subscription.failed. I hope this helps.
Thanks. net.authorize.customer.subscription.failed does seem to be firing appropriatley. For consistency it would be nice to just have net.authorize.customer.subscription.success or approved or something else that includes the subscription ID so we can avoid calling gettransactiondetails. your lack of .NET Standard SDK for use in .NET Core projects is what really makes that one hurt.
