Did you know that this blog area is just a part of the Developer Community, which is just a part of the whole Authorize.Net Developer Center? Well, now you do. :smileyhappy:


The Developer Center is a site dedicated to Authorize.Net developers that provides you with all kinds of resources you need to get your payment integration up and running. Often times though, people are unsure of where they can find the things they're looking for. So we thought we'd provide the following brief overview of some of the great resources available to you in the Developer Center.

Integration Resources

  • API Guides – First and foremost, we offer API guides for each integration method we offer. If you visit our API page at, you can click on each API in the table or in the column on the left, and be taken to an information page that includes links to that API’s guide in PDF format. The pages for DPM, SIM and AIM also include HTML versions of the guides.
  • Sample Code – We also offer sample code in many popular languages to help you along the way. Located at, the sample code is meant to guide you in your implementation, but is in not ready to use as-is. If you’re looking for a quick and easy setup, check out our downloadable SDKs

Sandbox Account Resources

  • Sandbox Accounts – We offer free, test accounts for Card Present (CP) and Card Not Present (CNP) testing. The CNP test accounts come enabled with ARB, CIM and eCheck.Net by default. A test account is the best way to test your integration to Authorize.Net prior to going live. You can apply for one at
  • Sandbox Account Error Generation Guide – As part of your testing, you may want to test for cases where a transaction receives a specific response from the gateway. This guide lists the values you can use to trigger certain transaction responses when using your developer test account. Check it out at     

Troubleshooting Resources

  • Troubleshooting Tools Page – Inevitably, you may run into some problems as you’re going along. We offer a variety of tools to help you figure out what the problem is on our Troubleshooting Tools page at
  • Response Reason Code Tool – This tool is one of the most popular for troubleshooting. When you receive an error code, you can use this tool to find out more information on what may be causing it and what you can do to fix it. The Response Reason Code Tool can be found on the Troubleshooting Tools page or directly at
  • The Developer Community Itself – Located at, our community offers insights to all sorts of common integration questions. The forums and blog posts are all searchable — in fact, we encourage all users to search for answers as it’s very likely that your question has been asked before. You can also take advantage of the New Solutions section on the community home page, which displays the most recent posts that have been marked as resolved by the member who asked the question.
