Changes to Supported Characters, x_line_item

x_line_item = "item1<|>Registration<|><|>1<|>" + 1 + "<|>F";

this is how i send my values for x_line_item.  it has been many years since I've set this code up, so I need a refresher.  are the <|> delimiters required for this data?  if so, how is this affected by the "changes to supported characters" alert email that I received this week?  how to support this going forward?

Hi wendilogic, 

The line item delimiter will continue to be <|> and the changes being made will exclude the line item field value for this reason.
