First time connectivity test

I'm trying to connect for the first time using a test account. 

I'm trying to run both the sample application and the test code from the AIM method.  I'm getting the following error message:

AuthorizeNet Error: Response Code: 3 Response Subcode: 1 Response Reason Code: 87

Response Reason Text: Transactions of this market type cannot be processed on this system.

Do you have a card present or card not present account? Having the wrong type of developer account could trigger that error. It's also possible the developer server is just flaking out, which does happen.
