Is sftp a valid connection scheme

We have a software package for the footwear industry that runs on IBM systems running AIX. When a credit card purchase is made, we send the information to a PC that will use sftp to send out the credit card request for authorization. The PC will then retrieve the response and send it back to the IBM.

Does authorize.net have sftp connection capabilities?  And if not, do you have any other non-web based API or any users that integrate directly with a Unix server?

Authorize.Net does not support an SFTP connection.  However, there are 3rd party vendors who do support AIX and Authorize.Net.  A quick Google search for ibm aix card payment Authorize.Net should get you started.

Thank you for the reply.  Is there any specific vendor the Authorize.net would recommend?
