Posting a transaction using Virtual Terminal based on a CIM entry?

Is there any way I can post a transaction to a cc stored in CIM?

Hey there,

Currently there is no way to process a transaction using a CIM profile via the Virtual Terminal. You have to use the CIM API (createCustomerProfileTransactionRequest).

However,we recently enhanced CIM so you can manage CIM profiles from within the Merchant Interface (see the post here). It was the first part of a two-part release, and as part of that second part, there are plans to add the functionality that will allow you to run a transaction using a CIM profile from with the Merchant Interface.

But again, until that functionality is released, you'll need to use the API.

Thanks,

Michelle

Is there an update on this? We also need a way to run CIM transactions from the Virtual Terminal.

We take orders where we must calculate shipping (truck line) so we use CIM to take the billing and payment information. Then we need to do a capture once we know the actual shipping charge (and have gotten approval from customer of course). We'd prefer to do that in Virtual Terminal if possible.

Please let us know the progress on this.

thanks much!

Ah, found it. Go to Tools (left menu), then Customer Information Manager, then click the Profile you wish to charge.

Under Payment Profile section, click Charge, next screen choose Shipping info, then fill out Charge info.
