Hi, all...
After reading, reading, and reading, I'm still not totally sure what the answer is to this question:
Is an SSL Cert required on my server or not if I am implementing AIM?
In some places the docs state "AIM provides a secured connectionn via SSl..." and also, my
test account has worked perfectly with no SSL on my server. The docs state that a transaction
will fail using AIM if my server has no SSL connection. (The test account, I realize, my not
required the SSL on my server...not sure).
In other places, mostly in "Compare Integration Methods", Authorize.net state emphatically,
that an SSL Cert is required on a merchant's server for AIM implementation.
Can I get some very authorization feedback on this issue. I need to get this done and either
make my current setup live or get an SSL Cert and make it live. Just need to know for CERTAIN.
Thanks for any feedback!
Rick

You need a SSL cert on your server or else 3rd party could intercept your customer credit card info between their browser and your server.
