Cost of CIM validateCustomerPaymentProfileRequest

Can someone please let me know if there is a charge that merchent needs to pay for making validateCustomerPaymentProfileRequest API call.

Validation generates a test transaction of $0.01 or $0.00 and then immediately voids it. You get charged a transaction fee, which I believe is 10 cents.
